"Plain" Brembo rotors for GS300 any good?
Did a search on this, could not find a good answer.
1) Has anybody been using "plain" Brembo rotors like these ? Dealer does not want to replace my front rotors (warped) under warranty
2) I am also considering buying Lexus rotors from irontoad.com but it seems they all come in Toyota boxes ( pic ) I know that it's all Toyota, etc. but for some parts it makes a difference it seems. Does anybody know if rotors bought from a Lexus dealer have the same packaging?
I will probably buy Toyota/Lexus pads regardless of what I buy 1) or 2)
If anybody has anwers or pointers to the right thread, it'll be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
-Oleg

i dunno if it applies to most cars, Brembo makes a good replacement on Euro cars, i know the auto supply shop i used to work at a long time ago sold Brembo under the Beck-Arnley label for Mercedes/BMW/VW/Volvo/Saab applications. I would give them a shot, i feel more comfortable using Brembo than some cheap Chinese rotor...

If you go into the parts dept. of any Lexus, you will see lotsa red boxes marked Toyota. Our Lexus is made by Toyota Motor Corp. You will never find a made by Lexus or Lexus parts (or Lexus engineer). If it's an OE part it will say Toyota on the packaging, even if it originates from a third party.

Thanks for the info, folks.
I will go with Bremo rotors, then, but instead of Toyota pads, I'll go with Akebono ProACT ceramic. Akebono seems to get pretty good reviews.
2 front rotors + pads on all 4 are running me about $230, down from at least $350 for "all Toyota" parts.
