How much tranny fluid do I need
Nuum (et al),
I'm going to get my new (lower) high-stall torque converter installed and based on recommendations want to use Amsoil Synthetic ATF this time to see if it will help with my rev limiter issue.
I've found a couple of threads about only needed 2 /12 quarts to fill tranny, but since the TC is being removed from mine I suspect I'll need more. Can you suggest how much of this stuff I should get?
Any issues with mixing the old vs new you can think of? I want to get as much new in as I can, but don't know if they can do a full flush at the local dealer (nor if I want to pay for 15 quarts or Amsoil to do that if there are no mixing reservations).

I think 6 qts will be on the save side. I don't remember how much Type-T I used when I did the TC on Paul and Eric cars, but I'm sure its more than 4 qts.
I don't know about mixing the Type-T with Amsoil, may be someone can chime in on this.
