Default Using Dextron 3 as power steering fluid

Should Dexron 3 tranny fluid be used for the steering fluid in a 1990 LS400? Or should i use Toyota's T4 tranny fluid? Had a new power steering hose installed and the steering just doesn't feel right...could it be the fluid? Does the PS system need to be bled? Can it be bled? TIA!

Use ONLY a Dexron II or Dexron III approved Automatic Transmission fluid. Like this one: http://www.saber.net/~monarch/gtatf2.jpg

Don't use anything else, including Type T-IV fluid.

Yes the power steering system can be bled on the '90 LS400. Search the archives using "power steering bleeding" as your search words.
