I have used this one for years on my wife's VOLVO. Inexpensive and convenient. Not just a trouble code scanner but a compete parameter monitoring and logging ssytem. I just ordered a new firmware chip for mine for my 2004 GX470, so can't say yet how it works with all the new codes and parameters available on the Lexus.

Not being a smart a$$, but define cheap? They go from $200 to about $3,000. The cheaper ones are ok but then you need to look up in a book etc. Plus the better one have real live data and playback . So you can drive and record all the codes (if any), engine temp, coolant temp, timing, o2 sensors, etc.

The OBDScan II is under $200 and has real time data logging, multi parameter views of timing, O2 sensors, and a myriad of other data. Go to the website and decide for yourself. I have one and love it.
