White stuff on battery...

Default White stuff on battery...

Is there any way to prevent those aicd things from growing??? because sometimes I will stop my car from starting... and I was thinking about buying a battery terminal... will they do any good???

I think I am not in that much trouble.. yestaurday I took out the battery and check it.. it looks fine to me... but thinks for remainding me to keep an eye on it...

Did you try to put on some battery terminal pads? Those green and red ones at auto parts store.

I guess not.... what are those call?? just battery terminal pads???

Yes I think if you go to auto parts battery section they sell those you could put under the battery terminal to prevnt white powder build up!

Great!! I will get one tomorrow first thing in the morning... just hate to have some white powder bothers me....

Or bro try using diluted baking soda w/ water and pour it on the terminals.It should go away.

I've heard baking soda get's rid of the battery acid residue.

It works...But i only did it to my old cars before.<<honda/Toyota. I nevr once had a problem with the Lexus yet.

surprisingly enough a can of Coke or Dr. Pepper will remove battery acid crusties.
(to think, we actually drink this stuff too. )

You are better off replacing the battery. There's a small leak at the terminal.

You can use a wire brush and a paste of baking soda to clean it. That's just a temporary solution.

I hear Coke & soda (We Canadians call it pop ) can remove rust off chrome bumpers too lol.....scary!
