When to change transmission fluid?

When to change transmission fluid?
With 60k miles on the clock, I was wondering if it was time to change the transmission fluid. I checked the service manual, and it says to change it only under severe conditions; it is not a part of regular maintenance.
Is it a good idea to change it now (I drive mostly freeway), or is it unnecessary?
Thanks.

I'd change it.....make sure you replace the fluid with the correct fluid recommended by Lexus. Might want to consider a complete 100% fluid change as opposed to just a drain & fill.

I just got mine flushed at 54k miles. I don't drive the car much but living in NYC is an automatic ''extreme condition"
I recommend you do it pretty soon. Just get a drain and fill for about $30-$40. You owe it to your car.
