Prob with Evap emissions P0446

MIL (engine Light) can on, at the same time "TRAC Off" light came on. Found a code P0446 Evap systems malfuntion. Cleared the code to see if it was an anomaly; it reappeared. I found a TSB at a few sites on the web referencing a problem with the emission canister. Has anyone else experience this problem. A Toyota tech feels that it needs a "purge kit" for the canister, 900 of these are on back order. Any thoughts?

Same here

I had the same code and the car was taken to my local Lexus dealer. They changed the entire canister under warranty. let's see how that goes. I will pick up the car today. 02 IS300 5 speed
