Idler Pulley Bearings w Timing Belt Change?
More for the pro-mechanics:
I see that there are bearing kits available for the left & right idler pulleys for a 94 LS.
They are cheaper than a whole new pulley but not by as much as one would think. Is this worthwhile?
Does anyone have experience or thoughts with this?

Is this to say that the bearing are rebuildable? Ive dont more t-belt changes than i can count, and each time ive replaced the idler bearings with the standard toyota parts. Ive never heard of a "kit"... do you have any more information as to how that works? It may not be worth the time to "rebuild" the bearings with "kits"... or maybe i just dont fully understand the concept you're talking about.

Bearings
RTCamaroSS,
Thanks for the reply. I searched some of your post concerning another matter3 days before asking this question , so I'm glad that you jumped in. This question was directed at techs such as yourself.
I would not be very familiar with TB idler pulleys. Aren't bearings the only wear part?
Strangely 2 different mfg's make replacement idler bearings:
Koyo: Lower Left Idler Bearing A5300-63071
NSK: Right Idler Bearing A5300-57566
I have no idea what these numbers mean or what they translate to. ( Or if they are translatable!!)
I'm in Dallas & Jason Pham of JP Importz ( 3 miles from me! ) sent me a reply saying that replacement bearings are available from Toyota.
My thought was to pool available knowledge & source these bearings direct & avoid the hefty mark-up.

My name is Mark Conner & I have no direct investment in the pre-mentioned "linked" company & I do approve this message!!

Koyo A5300-63071 Left Bearing $32.75
NSK A-5300-57566 Right Bearing $75.00
That is sourced as an auto part. I think that it would be much cheaper if we could properly identify the bearing & cut out the middle-man.
Do these #'s mean anything in the bearing world?
