I think a battery at my dealer runs about 85-90 bucks... Plus labor. Something around $125-135 or so..

Right, but the specs are differnt are they not? Are you sugesting one is really not much better than the other? There is a 48 months warranty on my "Lexus" battery, I would think that would be about average with the industry--still at an UNavereage price.

Of all the batteries ive ever owned, Optimas have by far been the best in my eyes. If you car doesnt see "extreme" conditions, then you really have no need for one. By that i mean, large stereos, vehicle sitting for a week or more at a time between starts, high compression engine making it harder to start.. ect.

There isn't much difference between normal-purpose batteries (i.e. excluding Optima and the like) made by a particular manufacturer (there are only a few major US car battery manufacturers). The primary differences are in marketing and branding. Sears DieHard is just a brand...Sears has bounced between different manufacturers for their batteries in the past.

That 48 months warranty is a pro-rated warranty. If your battery were to fail at 36 months, that means you would get 25% applied to the purchaes of a new, overpriced Lexus battery. Been there, done that. The more important warranty figure is the free-replacement warranty period
