Question Lexus Used Parts

Does anyone have a favorite place to buy used Lexus parts? I used to buy simple things like switches and interior parts for my SAAB at a wrecking yard. They had several thousand cars and all the used parts you could imagine.

I'm looking for trunck struts for my LS. I'd like to save some $ by buying used. Any references?

Thanks.

Default nope

Try again CEO. The prices I've seen are closer to $90-115. The struts are hard to find. Autozone doesn't have a replacement part, and I'm going to try Pep Boys now.

Default Thanks for the help

I've got a 2001 LS430.

I appreciate the help. Lexus wants $130. I called a wrecking yard and they want $50. I think they are going to try and give me a LS400 part instead of the LS430. Not sure if there is a difference.

Try PMing Aliga who resells used parts on our forum and let him know what you're looking for.

For LS used parts, here is a source I've spoken with in the past, but have never bought from. Part I got a quote for was still pretty pricey, but worth a call if you are in a pinch.

This place specializes in LS400 used parts, not sure if they also do LS430.

Might try these guys as well, they didn't do LS400, but might do LS430

Another idea if you do end up buying new is to check with our CL vendors to see if they can't get you a better price than your local dealer.

Default Good Suggestion

Thanks DAVE,
I contact them today and they quoted me $50. I also thought that was a bit high for a used part. Looks like they have a pretty large inventory of LS' though. Next time I go to the coast, I'll visit their shop and give a report.

Default Part Number

CEO,

The part number IS 64530-50031.

I called my OEM supplier and got a price of $93.07 each. Looks like you found them a little cheaper than me. Still not a good deal though. If you can find some for the $50-60 range to originally thought, let us know...

Thanks.

Good try CEO. Tap Recycling says that they have no LEXUS parts at this time. Sounds to me like they just don't want to mess with it. From all the photos, they must have something that would work.

I'd say forget that source!

Default Sewell has dropped the ball too

Sewell has dropped the ball too. I sent them a request for quote on several parts, providing my CL discount code also. They say there will be a 24 hour turnaround time on the quote. 24 hours have come and gone.

I guess Sewell is not interested in selling me anything either. Guess the discount only applies if you physically go to their store and talk to a live person. really disappointing!

Anyone else have trouble getting a quote for parts from Sewell using their online form?
