Somethings leaking!!
I replaced my p/s pump in august because it had the infamous leak. Now a few days ago i hear the whine coming from under the hood and whining when i turn the sterring wheel. It is also a little stiff when i turn the wheel. So i went and bought a bottle of the lucas stop leak and put it in which has cured the whining. But i noticed a little puddle under the car this morning so it is leaking from somewhere. I dont think it could be the pump again since it was just replaced. So im wondering where else would i be losing p/s fluid from?

more than likely it is the high pressure feeds. mine leak and whine. the whine is caused by the pump trying to circulate air into thesystem. its nto good for it.
what i do is start the car, and pop the hood. open the resivior while the whining noise is occuring, for only a second, then sc rew the cap back on. i will bet it does the trick, at least for a few hours. thats what works on mine.
but you sais lucas oil stopped the whine huh? maybe i will get some for mine...
when i add it, do i add it to the fluid i already have, or do i have to drain some so as not to overfill?

Yea i think mine was whining because it was almost empty but the lucas oil spopped it though. I just wanna know where the hell it could be leaking from now??

It might help if you'd indicate what model car you are talking about.
On the V8s, the cooling fan also uses PS-type fluid.
In general, all leaks are traced the same way- notice where on the driveway the puddle is, and then clean up the area directly above it so that any further leakage stands out.
