Have you taken a peek under the car and see where the oil is leaking from? If not, I'd start with that. Make sure first of all that the oil drain plug on the oil pan is screwed in finger-tight. Another possibility, especially with an old ES like the '92-'94 models, is that the oil leak can come from the rear main seal, which is prone to deterioration over time.

Check the oil filter and the oil drain plug. And make sure the drain plug is on TIGHTER than finger-tight, grab a wrench and tighten it some. If you cant fidn the problem (which shouldnt be hard at all), then bring it back to him to get it fixed for free. Then find another mechanic. If a mechanic cant get an oil change, I dont see how he could stay in business

well it appears that it is not the oil drain plug, or something of that sort. The leak is actually coming from the back of the engine bay, so could it be the rear main seal??. But either way this bites the big one
Mucho thanks for you help though guys.

rear main seal would be leaking on the left side of the engine, not on the back, more than likely its a valve cover, a more common, less expensive ($200-$400 depending on area) problem.

For some reason they deleted my post from the SC400 section. I was driving 140 and found an oil leak after I parked. It seems to be coming from the torque converter housing. It is not transmission fluid so it must be the rear seal. How much does it cost to get it fixed? Thanks Lisa

first off, thats way too fast , and second, about $800 on an ES. an SC will probably be around $600 since there is less labor involved. (SC is RWD)

not unless a mechanic has told you your rear main seal is leaking...cause i offered the alternative of the less expensive valve cover being your issue. the rear one seems to have a problem with leaks. its possible, but not likely that your issue is the rear man. your leak would be on the left side of the engine, not the rear.
