ok I searched up and down and couldnt find a exact answer,Im going to the lexus dealer sometime this week to buy tranny fluid to change mine and differantial fluid.How many quarts does the auto tranny on the sc400 take? my freind changed his and he told me 5 quarts?!also how many quarts des the read end take? and what type of fluid should i buy for tranny and rear end?

okay im issed that but the only answer i got was that i need TYPE T IV. How muh do dealer's charge for the transmision filter?is it easy to install? and would i need to add more?

The filter does not cost too much- it is just a screen. You can clean the old one, usually.
