well, I got the factory shop manual and thought I'd do some of the major maintenance on my '92 SC300 myself:

1. replace spark plugs
2. replace high tension wires (spark plug wires)
3. do I need to replace the distributor cap?
4. oil/filter change
5. coolant fluid change
6. do I need to change my fuel filter?
7. what else?

Dealership should be able to give you a list of all the stuff they normally do at 60k service.

Are you planning to change the timing belt yourself? That's the real biggie with the 60k service but it's gotta be done unless you want to bet valve train, pistons and cylinder head on it's durability. Not to mention the fact that you'd be stuck wherever it broke with an instantly trashed motor.

Look in your owner's manual. It will list all the things recommended for the 60k service.

I agree with Mooretorque. The timing belt is probably best left to the pros unless you've got experience inside the engine.
