Fluid amounts for drain-and-refill on '90-'94 LS400?

If doing a cooling system flush, I would get no less than a 100% fluid change, otherwise.....what's the point? Same thing goes for a tranny flush.......why leave a good portion of old, contaminated fluid in the car when it does more harm then good. Would you drain only 50 - 75% of your engine oil out of your crankcase & leave the rest in there?
