Default Smoke?

Wondering if anyone has had this problem before, I was driving my SC400 @ about 130-140 mph and I saw some smoke come out of the back. Looked white. I slowed her down to about 80mph and the smoked vanished. It was just and big puff of smoke. Any Ideas? Its a 92 SC4 w/ 66k and I drive her hard sometimes

This's gonna be a veryy hard one for your mechanic to try to duplicate the problem. He have to drive the car at 130-140 mph while looking for the white smoke from the tail pipe and the road in front of him.

Just have that mechanic sit in the trunk. Piece of cake.

It probably has more to do with the RPM your engine is running at than the speed you are going. See if you can duplicat it by holding your rpm's up at 5k+ for a little while. What color was the smoke, white? Might be a headgasket.

My friend said headgasket as well, But I checked the coolant today and i was real low so i topped it off and checked my other fluids i was good. Maybe it was because I had low coolant? And for the first Time in a long time it didnt smell like gas coming out of the exhaust pipes, it was steam and water? I am burning oil pretty quick as well, But I think thats beacuse I drive so fast all the time.

Very funny about putting the mechanic in the trunk Hope it was coolant

yeah it should be the coolant....from what i understand about the SC is that it flows all over the vehicle. And how often do you take your car up to 130-140?

Why are you driving that fast anyway? Just have your guy put the car on the lift to see if he can duplicate the concern.

Just where I live @ I guess. And me and my friends race around all the time. I am over the 100mph mark daily and probably 135+ mph mark 3 times a week. In italy its wide open Country. Anyway somebody told me that its my tranny fluid probably hitting the exhaust. Since this seems to happen only when I am holding high speeds for a long time ( i.e. Racing down mountains, and foot to the floor action for over a hours time.) I've had a similar problem a long time ago when my tranny pan gasket was getting pinched and fluid was hitting the exhaust and steam up. Dealership changed gasket and flushed the system also, all cool. Add plus if it was a headgasket going wouldnt the engine bogg somewhat?

Oh yeah whats up CEO, long time no hear, I been chilling on my SC for awhile now, Just recently purchased a R32 GTST skyline so money has been scarce, hows things where you are
