I just picked up my first Lexus, a '92 SC400. With the high miles on this car and my own history of patronizing independent shops, I'm disinclined to start going to a dealer for repairs. Can anyone recommend going to--or avoiding--any particular shops in Seattle or Bellevue?

I'm wondering particulary about Greg's Japanese Auto in downtown Seattle or Moss Alley Motors on Capitol Hill. Or should I change my ways and take the car to Lexus of Bellevue, which is on my way to work. The immediate need: I think the power steering pump is leaking onto the alternator.

Hi there, i just read your post--do you have any recommendations for shops to repair/maintain Lexus vehicles? If you could let me know your thoughts, that would be great.

I've had my 92 ES300 for 3 years. I've had a major tune up last year and took it to Greg's in Bellevue. They were pretty good, plus they have their own radio show on KJR I believe. I've taken my car to the dealer on minor things like for parts, etc.
