Lightbulb Vehicle maintenance log

For any car owner, it's generally a good idea to keep a log of all service and maintenance work done on your car, especially come selling time since you'd want to supply records and receipts to the prospective owner. If you're like me though, the number of papers and receipts can be so large that it would take a long time to thumb through them all and look for specific piece of info like what parts were purchased and the vehicle mileage work was done at, etc.

In order to make this process more convenient and less time consuming, I have been keeping an Excel spreadsheet and logging in all service/maintenance work done on my car, make special notes regarding each of the work intervals, and the vehicle mileage and date at each time. A couple benefits are that it's easy to make changes and additions to this sheet, and color coding makes it more visual.

I have attached a template of the maintenance log spreadsheet to this post, so feel free to use it and keep track of the work done on your car(s). If you have more than 1 car, you can make a separate spreadsheet for each of your cars, and keep them all organized

Cool

Not a bad idea at all Doug. I've got all mine & my wifes in file folders & in a file cabnet. as it is. I'm sure many though will find it very helpful.

I keep receipts of dealer services or oil changes at oil change places, pics of work and receipts of parts for oil changes done at home during warranty, that's it.
