accelerator pedal hard to push
Recently, I've noticed that it takes extra effort to push down on the acccelerator on the 93 LS.
I did lubricate the obvious links, cables springs using wd40 that helped a bit but not completely.
It's as if the springs that are supposed to move once you press on the accelerator have been replaced by stronger springs and now it's taking extra effort to press down on the accelerator.
would someone kindly post the points where lubrication should be done to have the original soft accelerator pedal feel back.
thnx.

You may need to clean the throttle butterfly. You will have to remove air intake tube that connected to the throttle body.
Then slightly on open the throttle and clean it with carburator cleaner. Don't spray CC too much and when you first start the car you will have to step on the gas pedal and try to crank it several times before the car finally start. You will see a lot of black smoke coming out from the exhaust because the carburator cleaner get in the intake.

I was under the assumption that a dirty throttle body intake would make the accelerator sticky. would it make the accelerator pedal hard to push as well ?
I am certain that it has to do with one of the levers, links being too dirty/rusted that is causing this.
I will give this a shot as well.
thnx.

Yes, it can cause a hard pedal. If you follow the accel link from the firewall to the throttle body and use your hand move the piece where the cable is connected to. You can feel how the throttle butterfly respone.

I opened up the throttle body, and it didnt seem to have much grime/dirt inside it.
At this point, I am really trying to find out where the spring mechanism lies that makes the butterfly go back to initial position after the accelerator pedal is released.
and yes, the hard pedal is definitely being caused by the butterfuly as it has extra resisting moving inside the throttle body.
