Removing oil seals for cams and crank
I am doing the work myself and am having a tough time taking out the stock cam oil seals. Really tough.
Does anybody have personal experience removing these seals? It is taking me about 6 hours per seal to remove them and they are stuck on like candle wax.

nthach, do you have experience with the Sears tool? Can you describe it? Have you ever used it?
The seal is so stuck to the aluminum head that it will never be completely scraped away, so I'm thinking of using chemicals or a torch. I cant put the new seal in until I clean out the old.
These are the shaft seals for the cams and crank on the front of the engine.

seals out
Thanks for the info. I ended up fabricating my own tool with a dremel, and after that the seals came out easily. I took a flathead screwdriver and fashioned it into a thin flat hook. I think the mac tools or picks would be worth looking into.
Next is the rebuild....
