is the Master Cylinder damaged
I was bleeding the brakes today using two peroson method. Had a new M/C installed therefore had to bleed the brakes.
While bleeding the back brakes, without realizing the reservoir became empty and in turn introduced air in the system. Pedal became mushy and I spent the next hour trying to bleed to get the air out. Now the pedal is still mushy with a lot of travel before the brakes apply.
brake pressure isnt that great either.
The brakes are worse now than they were before I put the new M/C.
did I damage the M/C by letting the reservoice dry and pushing the pedal ?
Should I repace the M/C yet again ?
thnx in advance.

There's air in there that you have to get out, but the M/C is not "damaged". The same thing happened to me during a routine fluid change and I had the same spongy feel. It took me a while to get the air out, but eventually it did. I've never done it the 2-person way, though- I just let it slowly drain out, since I have the time to spare.
