LS 430 Oil changes
I purchased a 2005 LS 430 in Apr. 2005 and the time I take it into the dealer for a 15K oil change I get a bill for $270 plus tax. The dealer claims it is for recommended maint. every 15K,45K and 75K.
I understand oil and filter change, rotate and balance tires, and replace engine air filter. But replace differential oil and retorque drive shaft flange bolts. I understand I would pay a premium for a lux auto. I have owned Lincolns an Fords that I have put over 100K miles and all I did was "normal maintenance". The bill also covere inspecting a number of items.
Thanks for any feedback....Joe

Some dealers publish their own "recommended" maintenance schedules which are much more profitable (ooops- I meant "conservative", of course) than the factory recommendations.
They are betting that most customers will say "oh just do whatever you think is best" as they toss the keys to the service advisor, not missing a beat on their cell phone conversation. If you don't want to be played like that, be very specific when you drop off the car, and challenge all those extras as necessary. If you don't like the response, go elsewhere. As long as you keep records, you won't void the warranty.
I'd also recommend you search the LS430 forum and see what other new owners have said on this issue.
