Unhappy obd2 readers and cables

I have 96 es300 and have purchaced a elmscan obd2 reader from digimoto. This is to read the cars computer data and engine error codes. Problem is that the standard obd2 cable won't work on the car. The lexus connector is a round 17 pin rather than the standard ablong connector. Is ther a cable that will work? Any suggestions?
