Well, its that time again, Rainy season in California, so I need some windhsheild wipers. i went to PEPBOYS, and WALMART to see what they have, and heres the line-up

OHH by the way for GS series 98-05, its sizes 24 and 20 (Drivers side & Passenger side)

Im going for the MBZ look, the wipers look like they are one piece meaning they dont have the sections like regular blades

so does this type of windshield wiper exsist for non BENZ or BMW cars. My friend has the M3 and he has to get special blades from BMW.

Any recomendations regarding a good blade, as well as styling.

I have tried every wiper blade on my ES that there is with the exception of the Rain-X blade. My size blades are 24 and 20 also.

Toyota, Trico, Anco, Bosch all make that smudge sound when it gets to the left hand most part of its travel. VERY Annoying.

PIAA blades were absolutely noiseless but require some minimal prepwork on the windshield and these blades will set you back about $25 each.

Lexus blades are also absolutely noiseless and last about a year in New England. The rubber inserts can be had even from the stealership for $10 and $8 respectively. Don't be fooled, the rubber blades from Toyota are not the same as the rubber blades from Lexus parts counters.

Currently I have the Valeo blade that can be purchase from TireRack. This blade is a one piece design and has a winddeflector built in. See the attached picture below. I tried them for the icey winters here. The add says they are not supposed to freeze and will always maintain contact with the windshield. That is a crock, sometimes they freeze when coated with water and ice. When this happens they don't maintain complete contact. However, when not frozen, they are totally noiseless, maintain good contact with the window and do and excellent job removing large amounts of water. Currently, TireRack has a special offer on them for ~$20 each.

go to Autozone and get Bosch ICON wiper blades (in Europe they're called AeroTwin). they look exactly like the Valeo wipers plus you get $15 gift card if you buy 2 wipers.

The question is, are they absolutely noiseless. That is what I want most out of a wiper blade.
I will try the ICON ones on my next replacement.

I tried a few aftermarket blades, eventually went back to Lexus/Toyota rubber refills. Those aftermarket blades make noises, and wear out from 3 to 6 months. My last two refills lasted one year each. Wiped cleanly and silently.

The back window one on my RX300 used to screech right out of factory. I didn't know why until I reversed the metal strip inside the rubber. Then it worked fine.

Currently running Lexus blades which are working great. I am interested in trying the RainX or the new Bosch ICON blades when I need to replace mine.
