Dealership Programming Changes for ECTs?
Heya.
If I took my '97 SC400 to the dealer, will they have the skill and equipment to reprogram the ECT so that my torque converter won't lock up until I reach 52 mph in 4th gear?
I spend a lot of time commuting on secondary streets at between 40 and 50 mph, and the torque converter is constantly locking and unlocking. It's just a nuisance, but I know other cars with ECTs can have their lockup point changed.
Anyone? Is there a PCM/ECM/ECT programmer on the market for DIY folks?
