Royal Purple oil

I'm going to try to add my 'wisdom' here.
Any oil can work but it's going to depend on you, your vehicle, climate, how you drive it, etc.
I particularly don't have a fondness anymore for Mobil1 due to consumption issues I had in Mexico, but then again look at the fact that I raced my RX, had a high altitude low oxygen environment, crappy traffic...say Mexico City and you get the picture. However, the vehicle could have had a much quieter life like it does now and I might not have had that opinion.

i use royal purple and i stand by it i had a friend who doesn't know anything about cars i told him to try it i if you don't like it ill pay for the oil and what ever oil you want put in after i now he wont use nothing else he felt is car idle smoother and pick up was smoother too ..now if your car is well maintain and has no other issue then your good to go using it but not on a beater and thinking its going to make your car run laps, im compare my opinion on me being a lab rat and trying different oils on the market (available in stores ) not ordering

I've only used Mobil 1 for the past few years, just switched to Royal Purple and did NOT notice a difference in performance or MPG's. It's a great synthetic oil, but for the extra cost and no difference from Mobil 1, I'm going back to Mobil 1 come next oil change...

Personaly I've never used there motor oil but there gear oil is awesome ,I even used it in my work car (93 sentra 5speed) and I was soo impressed with how much smoother the shifts where and the gas mileage improved and working 46 miles away I was def made it a little easier on my wallet.
Now I got my SC it's the first thing I put in my diff.

I have used Royal Purple 5-w30 for a few oil changes, and from the first one I noticed a little more pep. On my most recent oil change I went with Castrol Syntec 0-w30 European formula and it feels like a step down in my opinion. Keep in mind that I also stepped up to a much better oil filter as well, I got it from Carson Toyota http://www.l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=2217 . One of the guys that worked there told me that this is the same as the TRD filter. It is like 1/2 to 3/4 inch taller than the previous filter, for some increase in oil capacity. I will be going back to Royal Purple on my next oil change.

i've been using RP in all my cars for years, yea its pricey but so what? in the VIP scene we spend a hundred dollars for a piece of rope n if we were so worried about price we'd be driving civics n rollas...
