my 1993 es 300 no longer makes cold air very much. is there a way i can fix this or change some ac fluids or something to make it cold again? i'm sure i could take it in and have it "fixed" but if it's something easy like replacing a cooling agent that i could do that'd be great. i don't know of any leaks or anything - it's just not very cold anymore these days.

You likely have a leak somewhere in the system, if the freon charge is low. Your car takes R12, which isnt as readily available as R134a is... You will likely have to take the car in, and have the system recharged, and check for leaks... they can add dye at the same time they charge the system to make finding the leak easier...
