My service advisor spoke with me about getting this treatment done to my car since it has about 90k miles. What exactly does it clean? He said it cleans your throttle body, IAC, and injectors. Supposely it "mists" into your system and cleans the throttle body plate, IAC to the injectors. Is this true???

I believe what your service advisor was talking about was the induction and fuel cleaning service package, which typically contains BG 44K fuel treatment (more advanced than STP or any off-the-shelf fuel treatment product sold in stores) and a cleaning of the throttle body (to get rid of gunk inside the TB which could affect how the mass air flow sensor is read and any signs of rough/low idle).

ionic, please post where you have this done and what your experience is with it. I've heard that this treatment works very well, but don't know anyone who has used it.

lexusk8, unless my service advisor was bsing me he said the induction cleaning cleans out the throttle body, iac and injectors as well.

cloudnine, Lindsay Lexus of Alexandria, VA. It only takes one hour. I felt a big difference after the cleaning was completed. Lots of pickup and a weird idle problem I had went away.

Dream Car Garage actually did a show on this treatment and it also showed gains, they were amazed. It really works well on high mileage cars.

You service advisor was talking about the BG induction cleaning system. The cleaning solution is attach to a long hose that attach on one of the vacuum hose by the throttle body. The vacuum from the engine will sucks the solution right into the engine intake system, intake valves, and into combustion chamber.
It will take almost an hour to do it and they have to do it outside in the open air because it will created a lot of smoke.
BG make a lot of good production from BG44k fuel additive, BG MOA oil additive and BG transmission fluid additive and clening system( not recommend on the high mileages car with poor service history). It's more expensive than those off the shelf products,but you get what you paid.

Wow! That's a lot. I was thinking about doing it over the summer, but I never got to it since I knew my car was going to be sitting for a while after being painted.

Found out BG has a distributor here in Mexico City, so I would not mind going over there to have my girl's (RX300) nose blown.

You won't regret it...especially if your rx300 has high miles. I don't usually gun the throttle while driving but after getting this done I find myself raggin on it a lot!
