Do our wipers have single motor/transmission?

While I've not opened up the area to verify, it's a very safe bet to assume that the SC is just like every other car out there and has only one motor driving both arms, for the obvious reason that two motors would add more complexity, weigh and draw more current than one, without adding any benefit.
Ever notice that when it comes to wipers, either both work, or they both don't work? If you had two motors/transmissions and only one failed, you'd have that embarrasing situation where one wiper may stall in the path of the other, causing the other one to crash into it! Then you'd have two wiper mechanisms to repair rather than one.

Yet another safe bet- sounds like the linkage.
Once you pop off that panel under the wiper arms your problem should be apparent.
