Loss Of Power
What might be causing my 1992 SC400 to run slow? It takes at least 6 sec. to reach 40 mph. Tranny is good , my tach jumps from 3000 rpm to 0 and gradually jumps up & down. I have no takeoff power, this started yesterday suddenly.

First of all Welcome to Club Lexus.
Fill us in on what kind of maintenance you have done, if any, and how many miles you have on the car. Kinda sounds like you are having fuel or ignition problems. It could be things like faulty coil(s), spark plug wires clogged fuel filter etc. I say time for a tune up.
Also give this thread a good read Is your SC running right?
