Called up Arlington Lexus for a parts quote on the interior cabin filter. 80 bucks. Then took a look at Sewell. 25 bucks. Found a solution for under 15 dollars that works MUCH better than the stock filter.
Take a 3m furnace filter, blue label. It's the highest rated one out there for allergens. Costs around 14 dollars before tax. Stock filter is made from fiberglass and allows mold, pollen, etc to go through. 3M filter is much finer and blocks better, probably down to less than 1 micron. Helps alot when you have allergies. Just take the 3M filter, cut it down to size and then stuff it into the stock filter housing. VERY easy and cost effective. You can make two filters out of the material, so each filter is effectively around 7.50 EACH.
And to get rid of that smell (mold, construction, etc), use the following...

I've found that this kills the odor MUCH better than spraying bleach, lysol or anything else in the vents. Just mount it near the vent and let it sit overnight.
More pics to come.

Here's a pic of the Natural Air 50 unit. Stay away from the "sharper image" units...they're absolute crap and don't work. Plus the Sharper Image units have health hazards associated with them.
The Natural Air 50's work great. Even kills smoke odors - very effectively.
Just let it sit overnight. No sprays, no mess! And yes, some of the smarter car dealerships are using the larger Natural Air units to get rid of the sour smell in used cars. Works for getting rid of odors at home too! (if you do lots of cooking, frying, etc)

Charcoal is only good for about a week, at least the active "activated" ones are. Still NO reason to charge 80 bucks for the filter. Plus the pores are so large that pretty much anything can pass through them.
White 3M filters are far more effective since the material is finer at filtering out the nasties, UNLESS it's fiberglass, and that's what the stock filter looks like. Quite porous. Take a particulate meter (motorola has these) and measure out what's going in and passing through the filter. Guarantee you that the 3M ones are much more effective, and at a lower cost than the stock Lexus/ Toyota filters.
Ozone eating up leather? Wierd that Toyota Camry now has these stock in their enviromental system.

Only thing i don't buy with that Blitz filter is when it says it can remove the smell of mold odor.
Maybe it does SOMEWHAT but the mold is gonna win in the end, you have to get rid of the mold completely and then a good filter will keep the smell out cuz well, there is none ha!

Note that I'm not IN the car while the Natural air 50 is running. Just want it to sit overnight. And yes, it ate up alot of the odors...and the leather is still quite intact, as are the lungs.

But, at 460Lex's request, I'm putting down some more info. Read the link below.
460Lex...Toyota is using a form of ionizer/ozone in their cars. Just started this year. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some form of it in your 460.
The link...

Think I'll get one of these. Good stuff.

Just confirmed that the new Camry does indeed have a plasma ionizer like the one I'm using. Built into the cars ventillation ducts. I'm wouldn't be surprised if Lexus had this on their LS460 as it's their flagship car. Highly doubt that it'll "fry lungs" as one of the members mentioned, unless they're setting themselves up for a lawsuit.
As for leather breaking down with ozone, you have to remember that everything is treated in the car to withstand the greater temperature differential as well as other factors in the enviroment. Or as one of the professors that I've spoken to calls it, an "anti oxidizer" treatment. Otherwise we would have to carefully store our leather coverings in archival (mylar?) bags.
