I got done finishing off both my o2 sensors. My car was running really rough. I replaced both and it took a lot of time due, to clearance problems on the passenger's side.
After, I let it idle for awhile. The car almost returned to normal. The reason why I say almost is, b/c when I start up the car, even after 5 mins of turning the car off. The car idles smooth except, a occasional miss or idle lump. It also happens when I begin accelerating. However, if I drive for half an hour so.
The problem disappears and no idle miss or pull as, best I can describe it. Also, it seems to be coming from the driver's side of the engine.
Anyone have this problem before and how to remedy this on a SC 400?
TIA

Without actually looking at the car, I want to say it sounds like a bad spark plug wire. Are they the original wires? Look at the wires themselves, you should see a year printed on them.

How about all four O2 sensors.
My 92 LS400 has four, one each side before the converters and then one each side just aft of the converters.
Have you ever considered buying the shop manuals for your car, running through the engine diagnistic routines and having it maybe give you a CODE that points you to the exact failure.
Worked for me... code said I had a failed left front O2 sensor and that I did.

I checked the plugs and wires yesterday and 2 days ago. Both wires and plugs were okay. This problem did not occur before the o2 sensor failure but, I keep thinking it is fuel related.
The symptom is that the engine somewhat stumbles when, it is cold. As it gets warmer. The problem eventually disappears after 20 mins. or so depending on driving. Also, everytime I fill the car with gas. The problem disappears. Could it be that the car was running so rich right before the o2 sensor failure and during the o2 sensor failure that my injectors got clogged? I put some redline fuel injector cleaner and after filling with 2 gals of fuel to dillute the cleaner. The problem again just disappeared.
Is there any other remedies to this stumble problem?
TIA

I cleaned out the throttle body and changed out the PCV valve. I also put Redline fuel injector cleaner. Nothiing seems to resolve this stumble problem. It is now showing up when it warm when idling but only stumbles once at a stoplight. Any advice in the right direction would be appreciated.

Check the connection of the spark plugs wires again. Make sure it sit in tight.
After changing the O2 sensor, do you still have engine light show up?
Check the code again to see if you miss any other codes.
