Default Dealer's charge for 10K service?

I'm a newbie to Lexus. I have always owned Toyotas. I have a 06 GS 300 and it's time for the 10K miles service, which appears to be just an oil change and tire rotation. The local dealers in my area, Orange County, CA, are quoting around $210. Now I know Lexus is a premium brand and the dealer service is top notch, but 3X more expensive than the toyota dealer's equivalent service charge sounds a bit too steep.

How many of you do your own oil changes and maintenance, and how many of you bring your Lexus to a trusted independent?

I know that Lexus has a national database of all the dealer's services for your car. If I take my car to an independent shop, will the dealer not repair a warranty issue and blame faulty maintenance by the independent shop? My car would show no records of being serviced at any Lexus dealerships. How will that affect the lease?

Sorry for all the questions. Any opinions will be appreciated.

if it's just an oil change/tire rotation, do it yourself. bring the car to me, i'll charge you 100 bucks, and you buy your own oil/filter. that's ridiculous...

to deny any warranty issues, Lexus would have to prove that that service caused the damage to the specific warranty item...

a full synthetic oil change most places is around $50, we charge $55, which includes tire rotation...

so long as the oil is changed regularly, and you have receipts - there should be no problems...
