I had my 90,000 mile service on my GS400. I had my water pump and timing belt done and also had to get a bad starter replaced. Seeing the cost of all of that, I had the service done at the local Firestone dealer since it saved me around 600.
After the service, when I press on the gas, I am hearing what sounds like water sloshing around or almost small rocks in the engine. I can hear it pretty clearly at lower speeds and it's usually right when I press on the gas. It's hard to hear it much past 15 or 20 miles per hour. That's the best I can describe the sound. This is definitely a new noise. I heard it right away.
Anyone have any ideas? I worry about quality obviously and it's the first time I have had anything done to the car outside of the Lexus dealer. I just want to have some idea of what it might be when I go in....just in case they try to feed me a line of ....
Thanks
Jeff

Turn your heater on and drive your car around the block in 2 or 3 gear. More then likely what you are hearing is air in the heater core. (We were having a lot of this in the 03-05 camry) After driving it check the coolant level.

I have only driven it about an hour since I got it back but it looks like it was the coolant. It was very low.
I will follow up if that did not fix the problem.
Thanks everyone for the quick replies. I was hoping it was a simple as the coolant.
