Hey all,
Since my SC400 was totaled a few weeks back, I have been in search of a 5sp SC300. I found a diamond in the rough last night, and bought it on the spot. 1992 with 135K on it - single owner (old guy) and never been beaten. Mechanically...she is mint.
I am looking to replace all the fluids in her. I am looking for advice on what type of differential, transmission, brake, and power steering fluids you all would reccomend.
I have heard wonderful stories about Redline fluids... can someone possibly supply me with the proper viscosity and grade of fluids for the differential, tranny, brake and P/S?
I have already ran a search - doesn't seem like any of these specs are available on the forum.
Thanks !

For differential 75W90. Amsoil, Redline, Mobil 1 or my favorite Royal Purple.
P/S. I use Mobil 1 ATF, some like using Amsoil ATF for the P/S. I used to even use Mobil 1 ATF in my old 90 325ic
Brake- ATE SuperBlue, some like some brands of Motul
Tranny- Best to check directly with SC owners on this one

search is your friend
(it's all out there, trust me)
Redline makes good stuff... however, their trans fluid is not compatible with our transmissions...
Only three options exist for Trans fluid - Toyota Type T-IV, Amsoil Universal, or Mobil 3309. I run Amsoil 'cause it's easy to find and it seems to have great results - I would run the Mobil, but can't find anyone that keeps it in stock.
Brake Fluid - Any performance fluid - Dot3 or better, but not DOT5... Power Steering - Dexron II Auto Trans Fluid...
Oil - 5W30 or 10W30 in hotter climates...
Gear oil for the rear end - straight 90w, or 80W-90... (Gl-5 rated)
