My SC300 has an automatic transmission and today when I turned the car off the key would only turn to accessory or start. It would not shut completely off and I couldn't remove the key. It would start again, but then I could not take it out of park.

I unplugged the battery and the key would come out. I also opened the center console and was able to manually move a spring out of the way that allowed me to change gears.

I am guessing some switch is not getting triggered, but not sure? Any ideas?

The steering wheel does not lock either.

check all your fuses to make sure nothing got burnt

sounds like your gear selector may have an issue. There is a sensor in there that reads when its in park and will allow you to pull out the key and check all your fuses.
