Traffic Circle
Garnet - Well, the traffic circle to which U refer ( Hwy 1/71 or what we locals call the "North" circle ) has been replaced by an overpass. Seems that there were too many wrecks there - folks around here don't know what "YIELD" means!! Never liked that one because it's flat. Now the "South" circle ( Hwy 165/71 ) is still there & it's ALOT more fun because it has banking of about 15 degrees - Louisiana version of Daytona!! I've taken it at 88 mph in the GS but did over 100 mph in my 'Vette:eek: - lots of Gulstrand suspension mods. They've talked about changing it just like the other circle except that there's a small bit of marshland in the middle & that's one of those "protected" environmental issues.
Funny U mention the Baton Rouge refinery - my bro-in-law works in the Exxon plastics plant there. Small world, my friend!

I always put 93 octane in. I heard that the engine could start knocking if you use a really low octane. Also, a Texaco in my town sells 100 octane. I've never used it, i figured it would damage something in a non-racing engine.
P.S.- I didn't think that you can have higher than 100 octance; isn't the number a percentage?
