buying a high milage lexus???
Ok im looking at one and my it has roughtly about 110-112k miles on it. its a 02 gs3 and i would like to know what are a list of things to llook/change on it.
belts, hose, fluids, any suspension parts, bushings, etc etc?????
Im not to familiar with what needs to be worked on and what needs to be changed. but ill def take it by a lexus dealer before i buy it . Id get them to check EVERY thing which im sure they would do anyways!
any whoo what do you guys suggest recommand?? I know alot of supra/lexus guys might think the 100k milage mark is like the motor breaking in point, but to me that is still alot of miles. LoL but anyways i will also search around on the boards for info also! in the mean time give me your advise and 2cents !!thanks

100k breaking ponit is not realistic on a lexus. It will alot more like 300K miles before she needs seroius work. These are well made, durable motors that will keep the car going for years. I would take it to the dealership and let them clean her up and tell you whats needed and what is working fine

o i believe you on that one. they are well built no dout! But im not expecting to much work to be done. But i am expecting some. i know he needs a new actuator (sp?) and the keyholes on the front need to be fixed. some dummass tryed to break into his car and he told me dealer told him like 1k to get them fixed i was like DAMN. but i not to worried about that right now!

If you have Lexus dealer near you I would take it to the Lexus dealer and ask to do the pre-purchase inspection. Overall the 02 GS300 is pretty much trouble free, but you'll never know.

Yes. I drove the LFA.

A typical safety/purchase inspection will run 1-2 hours of labor at most dealerships. So whatever they charge per hour, times two. This will get you the best picture of what the car needs. The dealership can also look through the service history and give you an idea of how well it was maintained, if it was at a Lexus dealership.
