Default Forgot to put the oil plug gasket back on

First oil change, i did everything well except that i forgot to put the oil plug gasket back on. The last person to do oil change was a mechanic so i thought it didnt have it but it turns out it fell into the oil pan. Is it ok to drive without the oil plug gasket if the oil doesnt leak? I'm either going to to put it back on or at next oil change.

As long as it's not leaking, I wouldn' be too worried. The flange bolt acts as a washer too, just not a very good one

How did it fall into the pan? that's crazy, considering the diameter of the gasket is bigger than the diameter of the threads...

he probably meant the pan that the oil drains into.

Cool

If it's not leaking now....you should be fine until the next oil change.

Put a piece of cardboard under the pan when you park it for the night. In the morning, check to see if there is any oil leaking. If not, your fine. I would probably do this once every month until next change and you can get the gasket on there
