I used Castrol Fully Synthetic also. Love the results. Change it every 3000 miles. Every time I drain it I check the oil level first to see if it burned oil and it does not at all! When oil is drained out after 3000 miles it's changes to brown only not black. Good stuff! High recommend!

0w is way too thin, no wonder you used oil
Mobil1 Fully Synthetic 5W-30 gets very very thin with the heat generated by turbo cars.
A fair few people spin bearings in the turbo, and sometimes main bearings.
Recommend changing to Mobil Semi Synthetic 10W-30 or 10W-40 (is better)
My next door neighbour has over 40 years experience in engine building from 50hp - 3000hp supercharged, NA, NOS etc. bridge to bridge, ski boat, track cars, 10yrs top fuel engine mechanic, summernats HP heros, plane and truck, and your average daily.
"The more that people use non standard oil other than what is recommended for their car, the more it keeps me in business"

2) what is "standard oil"? Recycled bulk oil that is used at dealers?

Lexus specifies 0w-20 as the oil grade for 2010 RX350. This is the official user manual excerpt, I reposted here from a RX350 thread.
This will put the end of wife's tale of 0w is too thin, which is a false belief that does not have any scientific support. Also validates the prudent approach that many 0w-20 users have practiced safely for over 5 years without Toyota's official blessing.

Older thread, I'll jump in.
Mobil 1 intervals at 8K miles. I did one to 13K and the oil analysis from Blackstone at the time indicated the additive package was still adequate. The comment section had wear typical at 5K use. So M1 does well even extended in this particular engine. 8-10K have been good reports so I tend to do it at 8K miles average. This is with the older 90915-20004 oil filters and OEM air filter. I'm due for another oil analysis since the last one was about some 50K miles ago. Just to see where the engine is at with 147K miles now.
*YMMV so check how oil does in your car for the conditions you drive.
