Trac light won't go off???

Trac light won't go off???
MY TRAC BUTTON WHEN PRESSED IN ANY GEAR WITHOUT THE ENGINE ON WILL TURN THE INDICATOR LIGHT OFF FROM THE CLUSTER BUT ONCE I SHUT OFF ENGINE AND START IT AGAIN AFTER A FEW SECONDS THE TRAC OFF LIGHT RE-APPEARS ON THE CLUSTER... I GOT THE CODE READ AND THEY SAID IT WAS EITHER THE CONNECTOR TO THE ABS/TRAC ECU OR THE ECU WAS FAULTY..... WHERE CAN I FIND OUT MORE ABOUT WHERE THESE UNITS ARE LOCATED IN THE CAR??? HOW CAN I FIX THIS PROBLEM???

It will more helpful if you read the sticky and give some detail about your car, such as model, year, mileage, recent history,accident, mods, DIY...etc...
The ABS/Trac ECU located behind the dash, the ABS/Trac actuator located on the passenger side or driver side of the engine near the firewall depending on the vehicle year and model. I hope this will give you enough info for your further diagnostic.
