Help with diff fluid change sc400!!!

Default Help with diff fluid change sc400!!!

I have a 94 sc400 are there any dyi out there for changing your diff fluid, i took a quick look at the diff and could not see were to drain and refill and the size of tool i will need any help would be great..thxs

The drain bolt is locate on the passenger side at the bottom of the diff. You need an an allen socket (I forgot the size). The fill bolt is just above it. They dont look like your oil drain bolt at all.

Remember, always take out the fill bolt before the drain bolt.

It's recommended that you get a long pipe to assist the allen wrench for more torque. It's torqued down to 39 ft-lbs. GL!

regarding Diff fluid.. is it safe to run 75w-140 RP? autobac didnt have a lighter one so i got that one =/

A 10mm Allen bit and a breaker bar or a STURDY ratchet is all you need. A oil pump or suction gun is handy to have.

I use Red Line 75W-90 in my rear end, I used Mobil 1 before that.
