GrayLS400

I have an LS400 with an after-market battery. Forgot the size but its the standard size for this vehicle. It has two caps on top to refill the 6 holes with distilled water. I looked in, water level looked low, and I refilled. It probably took two cups of distilled water to fill it 1/2 inch below the caps. That seemed like a lot to me. Anyone know how much water a typical car battery can hold? Thanks.

The water should be about 1 1/2" below the top. Do not over fill because the acid will spill all over the place.
