Default Just hit a HECK of a bump...

And now the steering wheel has to be turned to the 2 o clock position for it to track straight. I was checking for the obvious tire flat - tires good.

The car hit one of those expansion bumps - good old pavement tends to buckle and form it's own speedbump. And it hit pretty HARD. Grumble...

Any ideas?

alignment is outta whack.

get it checked and dialed in and you should be set. Hopefully you didnt bend anything.. or bend a rim.

goodluck

Yes, get the alignment check and inspect for damage. Bad wheel alignment will wear out your tire pretty fast. Good luck.

Thanks guys! Will do on the alignment. Gotta hate the roads around the Chicago area...just too many expansion joints and potholes.

good chance it bent a tie rod, control arm, or jacked with the rack and pinion...

Yep. Turned out to be a simple alignment procedure. Thank goodness it wasn't anything more than that! Amazing as to how much punishment these cars can take and still keep on going.

Thanks for the input guys!

Your tie rods are out of adjustments from the hit. When you get an alignment, basically they will adjust the tie rods.
