That looks worse than my POS walmart one. I would stay away from it, unless you really feel like burning through your 20 dollars. It never lifted as high as it was advertised(even after purging the air out). Also the short handle made it impossible/suicidal to lift the rear of the car. And keep in mind, the shorter the handle = the less leverage you have = the harder you have to push.

I preferred my scissor jack over it....that's how bad it is.

True to an extent. It depends where you lift it from. In addition. I have used a concrete block and put a jack on top of it, just enough so I can get platforms underneath the vehicle and then pull the jack out.

At my costco they still sell the red Arcan one but no more of the blue one.

Had no idea Costco sells Arcan jacks.

I thought I would update this thread a little bit.

First of all, my black Arcan XL35 is still going strong, and I've used it numerous times since I bought it(over a year ago). I haven't done any kind of maintenance on it, it just sits in the garage between uses.

There is a clearance sale on www.NorthernTool.com right now. You can buy it for $110 + shipping. When I got mine, I payed $160 for it, not including the shipping, so it's a really good deal. I also remember that it dropped to $125, a month after I bought it. So if you miss out on this clearance sale, there is probably going to be a discount anyway.

I wish they had the Aluminum (blue) version on sale, because I really want that one.

i got this one recently.

http://www.harborfreight.com/3-ton-c...ack-94629.html

not your average lightweight jack or rapid pump but VERY heavy. i got this incase later down the line i have a suv or some sort or need to lift the vehicle at a extreme height without having to worry it might buckle down. i might later on get a rapid pump for easy jobs like tire changes and stuff but this one will be for if im down under the car for long periods of time.

Just went to the costco here in Melrose Park, Chicago yesterday and found a new pallet of Arcan 35XL's. Picked one up for $100. Also noticed they had a whole aisle dedicated to auto care that all appeared to be new products. So the season is NOW.
