GS300 won't start - fuel filter?
yesterday, I was forced to drive until my gas tank was completely empty, which I never do. today, I go to start it and it does start at all. I hear a little ignition but not much. Did the filter get clogged from all the gunk in the bottom of the tank? if not, what else might it be? the engine started and ran perfectly before this.
any ideas? thanks in advance

What people dont realize is that the pickup for the fuel pump is already at the bottom of the gas tank... so if you run low on gas, it doesnt mean you suck up any gunk or trash... the pickup is ALREADY at the bottom, so if theres trash in there, it doesnt matter how much gas you have, you'll suck it up.
That said.. We need a bit more info. Did your run out of gas and let the car die? If that is the case, you may have burned up the fuel pump. It is cooled by fuel.. so if it runs without fuel, it can overheat and burn out. You need to check other things before you start replacing parts though. Does the car crank and just now fire? You need to check fuel pressure, spark, etc...
