Is my IS getting old? check engine light went on twice this week
Hello All, I hope someone could recommend what to do here.
I have a 2006 IS250 RWD.
So here is the sequence of events..
Sunday 4/18 nighttime pumped gas at mobil
Monday 4/19 morning turned on engine and the check engine light showed and the error message check vsc (check vehicle stability control) lit up; restarted engine and lights went away but after 2 miles of driving and stuck at a stop light, the car started to shake as if it wanted to turn off so I depressed the gas pedal and the shaking went away - double checked gas cap and it was firm and tight
Friday 4/23 morning turned on engine and the check engine light showed and the battery icon lit up (all doors closed and lights were off all night) was able to drive 50 feet until engine turned off and car remained immobile; restarted engine and lights went away
background info: all recalls and tsbs have been done for my car
what's wrong...?? should I just bring the car in for a check up?

Thanks for the responses everyone. (Yes I'm a girl, I didn't hide it too well eh) I don't have an error code reader thing. I'll empty the tank and pump at a different gas station since it seems like it would be a 'bad gas problem'.
