Default What does a blinking seat belt light mean?

Well, I searched the owner's manual and search this form and couldn't find a definitive answer. My driver's side seat belt light blinks continuously after ignition even though I'm buckled and I'm not sure why.

I have a 2001 RX300. Any help would be appreciated.

Peace,

DM

Very funny. How about this "What does a blinking seat belt light mean when my seat belt is buckled?

Maybe that's a little clearer.

Peace,

oh sorry man I have no clue, I take a wild guess and say bad sensor maybe, which one no idea. But if that light is blinking will you air bags still go off?

driver side air bag will go off no matter what because the car is being driven. might be a bad sensor inside the actual buckle it self. i would also say gain some weight but the driver side will blink no matter if your in the seat of not.

I had the same issue with my 03. Asked at the dealership, and it was outrageous for them to replace or fix (think they said $850). I delt with the blinking light a long time. One day i figured maybe the mechanism inside wasn't working quite right, and figured a little WD40 wouldn't hurt in the receiver part of the buckle, and once spraying a bit with the buckle in and out it began working properly. No more annoying blinking light.
