Default stalls while driving

Hi all, I am new for Lexus, the car, and the forum, I have 01 ES300, with under 100K miles, last week as I was driving about 30-40 miles per hour suddenly the car started loosing power and died, I turned the key off, and turned it on started rough but drove okay, it happened again the same way, any idea where should I start looking for the trouble? I do have few other toys I maintain all of them, so if someone guides me the the problem area I would appreciate the help and take it from there. As I did search I found many people talking about the same problem and Lexus re-call, is the 01 Es one of them?
Any help is deeply appreciated.

Hi Thank you for your response, I know what is MAF, what is AFM, and what do I do with that, I know I have cleaned the MAF.

MAF: Mass Air Flow... AFM: Air Flow Meter... they are the same thing, called by different names.

Do you have any trouble codes stored? Blinking checking engine light while the problem is occuring?

It could be a number of problems, such as a bad coil, mass air flow sensor, fuel pump going bad.. There are many checks that need to take place, such as checking for codes, checking fuel pressure while the problem is happening, etc..

And no, the 01 ES300 is not involved in any recalls.
