You have to check the resistance of the cam and crank position sensors. The two cam position sensors and the crank position sensor should be between 950-1250 ohms. This website has some good write-ups on how to check each respective sensor: http://www.freeautomechanic.com/cmp-...on-sensor.html.
I do believe that they have a D.I.Y. article posted up regarding how to replace these sensors. When it came time for me to replace the cam and crankshaft position sensor on my old SC400 I bought cheap OEM replacement sensors from lexuspartsnow.com and just took it to a local Lexus shop to perform the job. It's not that the job is that taxing but I was simply strapped for time thus having a professional perform the replacement was a more viable choice

I was getting 4 codes and I replaced the capacitors on my ecu but I am unable to get rid of code 13 at this time. My car now will start but I still have that code and my engine light on.
